Entain Australia and New Zealand Chief Executive Officer Andrew Vouris has been confirmed as a featured speaker at Regulating the Game 2026, an international gambling law and regulation conference set to take place from 9 –11 March at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth.

Vouris assumed the permanent CEO role in August following the departure of former chief Dean Shannon. He previously served as interim head from June, with the appointment concluding a global search.

Group CEO Stella David said: “His leadership demonstrated his commitment to our people, our partners and to building a sustainable, compliance-led and customer-focused culture.”

Vouris stated: “I am grateful for the opportunity to speak at Regulating the Game 2026, which provides a unique global platform for advancing dialogue between regulators, industry and thought leaders. At a time when public expectations and regulatory demands are at an all-time high, I look forward to sharing Entain's vision for balancing sustainable growth, compliance leadership and customer protection.”

Paul Newson, Principal at Vanguard Overwatch and founder of the conference, added: “Andrew's leadership vision for Entain and his extensive track record across wagering and esports, bring an important perspective to Regulating the Game 2026. His focus on culture, compliance and innovation aligns strongly with the values of the conference.”

Good to know: In New Zealand, Entain has a long-term partnership with TAB NZ, the statutory betting monopoly

A “legislative net” introduced in 2023 forced offshore operators out of the market, triggering a NZ$100m (US$61.45) payment from Entain to TAB NZ as part of the deal.

Vouris will join regulators, operators and industry leaders at the Sydney event, which includes the inaugural RTG Global Awards.

Categories range from “Safer Gambling Champion” to “RegTech Solution of the Year”, with nominations open until early 2026. The programme also features a showcase at the Sydney Opera House and an expanded series of masterclasses.
