Inside Asian Gaming and Regulating the Game announce Strategic Media Partnershipfor March 2027 event
Leading B2B gaming industry media and events brand Inside Asian Gaming (IAG) and Australian gambling and regulation forum Regulating the Game are pleased to announce a new media partnership for next year’s Regulating the Game conference, to be held in Sydney in March 2027.
Under the agreement, IAG will leverage its extensive media platforms to promote the event across its digital, print and social channels, while Regulating the Game will provide IAG with premium access to conference content, speakers and branding opportunities throughout the event.
Regulating the Game has established itself as one of the most important conferences on the global gambling industry calendar. Focused on regulatory excellence, policy development and industry integrity, the event brings together regulators, policymakers, operators, suppliers and technology experts to address the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing the sector.
With a strong emphasis on evidence-based policy, harm minimization, compliance and emerging technologies, Regulating the Game plays a critical role in shaping the future direction of gambling regulation – not only in Australia but across international jurisdictions. Its unique ability to foster open dialogue between stakeholders has made it a must-attend event for those committed to sustainable and responsible industry growth.
Through this partnership, IAG will deliver comprehensive coverage of the March 2027 conference, including pre-event promotion, on-the-ground reporting and post-event analysis. Readers can expect exclusive interviews, panel insights and behind-the-scenes access to key moments from the show.
In turn, Regulating the Game will provide IAG with enhanced visibility across the event, including branding integration and direct engagement opportunities with delegates and speakers.
“Regulating the Game now occupies a distinctive place on the sector calendar – not simply as a conference, but as a forum for leadership, scrutiny, learning and constructive exchange,” said Paul Newson, organizer of Regulating the Game.
“It has become an important meeting point for those shaping the future of gambling policy, regulation, compliance and industry practice. Each year, the conference continues to grow in reach and relevance, attracting respected local and international speakers and creating space for informed discussion about the key issues confronting the sector. As regulatory expectations sharpen and operating environments become more complex, the need for serious, evidence-led dialogue has never been greater.
“We are delighted to continue our partnership with Inside Asian Gaming as Lead Media Partner for Regulating the Game 2027. A valued long-term partner of the conference, IAG brings authority, reach and a deep understanding of the issues shaping the sector, making it an ideal partner as we continue to grow the conference’s profile, influence and impact.”
Andrew W Scott, Vice Chairman and CEO of Inside Asian Gaming, added, “Regulating the Game has become a must-attend event for the Australian gaming industry, held in Sydney each March. Its focus on compliance, AML, responsible gaming and broader efforts to keep gaming safe has made an important contribution to the ongoing development of the industry. The associated Pitch! and Gala Dinner networking events further enrich the program, providing valuable opportunities for industry executives and regulators to strengthen their networks.
“IAG has been Lead Media Partner for the event for many years and we are delighted to sign this agreement, continuing in our role as Lead Media Partner for the seventh edition of Regulating the Game, to be held from 8 to 10 March 2027. We look forward to seeing everyone there.”

About Regulating the Game
Regulating the Game is an international conference focused on the future performance, credibility, and sustainability of gambling regulation and regulated markets. It convenes regulators, industry leaders and practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and stakeholders to engage with the hard questions shaping the sector - from financial crime and consumer harm to public confidence, innovation, and market legitimacy.
The program is designed to address contemporary public policy challenges while supporting measurable uplift in regulatory practice, compliance capability, and industry performance. It encourages intellectual curiosity, critical analysis, and the exchange of informed perspectives across regulatory, industry, and research domains.
Regulating the Game provides a structured environment to examine how compliance obligations operate in practice, where regulatory intent and operational reality diverge, and how governance, culture, and systems can be strengthened to deliver more effective regulatory and compliance outcomes across the sector.
Rather than promoting predetermined solutions, the conference focuses on examining what works, what does not, and where regulatory frameworks and industry practices must adapt in response to emerging risks, changing behaviour, and heightened public expectations.
About IAG
Inside Asian Gaming is Asia’s leading B2B digital and print media brand for the gaming, resort and entertainment industry. It has the highest website traffic, social media following, digital newsletter distribution and print magazine distribution of any such brand.
Founded in 2005, IAG has a broad business editorial focus on the Asian gaming and integrated resort industry. It is widely distributed to industry executives throughout Macau and the rest of Asia in two formats: a monthly English and traditional Chinese fully bilingual digital and print magazine and a daily language e-newsletter titled IAG Breakfast Briefing, delivered at 8am Macau time in English and 11am in traditional Chinese each weekday. IAG also publishes special magazine editions for G2E Asia each May, the IAG EXPO each September, the Asian Gaming Power 50 each November, and our annual Philippines special each December.
On 1 January 2025, IAG merged with US-based B2B gaming media brand CDC Gaming, with the two sister companies operating under common corporate parent, Complete Media Group (CMG). The merger created the first truly global gaming media and events company with 20+ years of experience physically based in the world’s two leading integrated resort and terrestrial gaming markets: the United States and Macau. IAG and CDC Gaming continue to operate under their existing brand names in their respective markets, embodying Complete Media Group’s philosophy of “Regional expertise, worldwide.”
Later in January 2025, the group launched its third brand, Complete iGaming (CiG), covering the online gaming industry in the Americas and Asia-Pacific regions.
