Regulating the Game announces launch of RTG Global Awards to recognize leadership across the industry
Regulating the Game announced the launch of the RTG Global Awards, a new initiative recognising leadership, innovation, and impact across the international gambling and regulatory landscape.
To be held in Sydney on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, during the Regulating the Game 2026 conference, the Global Awards will celebrate individuals and organisations that are shaping the future of the sector, elevating standards, advancing regulatory outcomes, reducing gambling harm, and fostering ethical leadership, trust, and long-term sustainability.
Paul Newson, Principal at Vanguard Overwatch and founder of Regulating the Game, said the new awards programme reinforces the conference’s mission to build regulatory capability, foster ethical leadership, and champion innovation, spotlighting best practice and forward-thinking approaches that balance entertainment and industry sustainability with community expectations and regulatory integrity.
"The RTG Global Awards offer a platform to recognise and celebrate bold leadership, innovation, and impact. As regulatory scrutiny intensifies and the sector evolves, it’s vital we highlight the people and initiatives that are not only navigating this complexity but setting new standards for excellence, responsibility, and trust," he noted.
With entries opening on July 1, 2025, the RTG Global Awards invite nominations from across the globe.
From ethical leadership and regulatory capability to bold ideas and measurable impact, the awards, including the Leadership Voice category, celebrate those setting new benchmarks for integrity, excellence, and sector uplift. Finalists will be announced on February 2, 2026, with winners recognised at a dedicated awards ceremony during the Regulating the Game 2026 conference.
