RTG Global Awards 2027 opens call for nominations with six new categories
The organizers of Regulating the Game 2027 have announced that nominations are now open for the RTG Global Awards 2027, featuring an expanded awards programme designed to recognise outstanding achievements, innovation, leadership and impact across the global gambling, wagering, racing and regulatory sectors.
Following the successful inaugural edition, the 2027 programme features 12 award categories, including six returning categories and six new additions reflecting some of the industry’s most pressing priorities. New award categories will spotlight excellence in areas including black market disruption, gambling harm prevention, sport and wagering integrity, advisory services, applied research, and long-term individual contribution to the sector.
Winners will be announced during the RTG Global Awards Gala Dinner, taking place on Tuesday, 9 March 2027, in the prestigious Wentworth Ballroom at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth as part of Regulating the Game 2027 Sydney, which runs from 8-10 March 2027.
Global Call for Nominations
The awards are open to organisations and individuals from around the world, including operators, suppliers, technology providers, regulators, government agencies, racing and wagering bodies, advisory firms, researchers, not-for-profit organisations and community groups.
The programme is designed to recognise achievement at every level of the industry. Several categories specifically acknowledge frontline and operational excellence, with entries assessed based on the significance of the outcome and impact relative to the nominee’s role and responsibilities.
Both self-nominations and third-party nominations are accepted, while collaborative projects may be submitted jointly. Anonymous nominations will not be considered.
Expanded Independent Judging Panel
Entries will be evaluated by an independent panel of highly respected industry experts and senior practitioners representing a broad cross-section of the global gambling ecosystem.

What Judges Are Looking For
Award organisers have emphasised that successful submissions should focus on demonstrable impact rather than promotional messaging.
The strongest nominations clearly define the challenge being addressed, explain the actions taken, and provide compelling evidence of measurable outcomes. Applicants are encouraged to support their submissions with data, metrics, evaluations, testimonials, published research and stakeholder feedback.
Providing context, including the operating environment, baseline conditions and degree of difficulty, can help judges better understand the significance of achievements and outcomes.
Celebrating Excellence at Regulating the Game 2027
The RTG Global Awards Gala Dinner will be one of the flagship events of Regulating the Game 2027 Sydney, bringing together industry leaders, regulators, researchers, technology providers and other stakeholders from across the globe.
One Gala Dinner seat is included with every in-person conference registration, with all attendees required to RSVP to confirm attendance. Additional individual seats and tables are also available, while guests may attend the Gala Dinner independently of the conference.
In addition to nomination opportunities, a limited number of sponsorship packages are available for organisations wishing to align their brand with one of the industry’s leading international recognition programmes.
