RTG Global Awards 2027 to honour tools, frameworks, and research driving industry progress
The Regulating the Game Global Awards 2027 has officially opened nominations, spotlighting the people and organisations whose work has genuinely shifted the industry forward.
More than a celebration, the Awards serve as a benchmark for evidence‑based progress, recognizing research, evaluation, and applied innovation that has translated into real‑world change across policy, regulation, consumer protection, product design, and industry practice.
This year’s program expands significantly, reflecting the sector’s growing commitment to integrity, harm prevention, and responsible development. Eligible submissions span applied research, pilot programs, operational frameworks, policy design, and tools that have demonstrably influenced reform or improved practice. Judges will prioritise rigour, relevance, accessibility, and measurable impact, rewarding entries that clearly articulate the problem, the intervention, and the outcomes achieved.
Nominations are open globally to operators, suppliers, regulators, government agencies, wagering bodies, advisory firms, researchers, not‑for‑profits, and community organisations. Individuals at any level may also nominate, with assessments calibrated to the nominee’s role and scope rather than the size of the program. Collaborative submissions are welcome, though anonymous entries are not accepted.
To support a broader and more diverse field, the judging panel has been expanded for 2027. Senior practitioners and recognized experts across regulation, research, compliance, safer gambling, sport integrity, industry leadership, communications, and governance will evaluate submissions.
The Awards culminate at the Global Awards Gala Dinner on Tuesday, 9 March 2027, held in the Wentworth Ballroom at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth as part of Regulating the Game 2027 (8–10 March). One seat is included with every in‑person conference registration, with additional seats and tables available for booking. Sponsorship opportunities for the Global Awards are also open.
