Lars Oleson is the CEO of Xailient, a serial entrepreneur, award-winning software architect, and former head of engineering for a billion-dollar software enterprise. A 24-year software industry veteran, Lars has co-founded 4 companies, exited 4 times (alas, not all the same), and invented products for startups and big public companies.

Lars’ products have secured Gartner “magic quadrant” positions in two different sectors and have collectively won dozens of awards for both consumer and enterprise solutions. His last exit, as CEO, to Alipay Indonesia led him to serve as the go-to-market Chief Product Officer in the world’s 4th most populous country.

Formerly at Oracle and Symantec, and now as CEO of Xailient, Lars guides teams to delight customers by making it easy, cost-effective and safe to deliver products and services powered by Computer Vision.

Teams under his watch have grossed over $5 billion in revenue. Lars holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (completed in 3 years), from MIT.

Lars sees himself as an “engineer of companies” and with a wealth of experience nurturing startups, managing software engineering, delivering award-winning market-winning products. Lars brings a little bit of Silicon Valley to Australia.
