Connie Paglianiti is a TEDx speaker, bestselling author and gambling harm lived experience advocate whose perspective bridges personal accountability, professional leadership and lived experience. After more than four decades in the events industry, a hidden gambling addiction led to devastating personal and professional consequences, offending and imprisonment. Since rebuilding her life, Connie has used her experience to help others recognise the warning signs that can remain hidden in plain sight. She works in gambling harm education and advocacy, including speaking through ReSPIN, and is the creator of Red Flags in Plain Sight™ and the S.I.G.N.S.™ framework. Her work explores what can happen when warning signs are missed, normalised or concealed, and how earlier recognition can create opportunities for intervention before crisis becomes the intervention.
