Daniel Tan

Chief Executive, Gambling Regulatory Authority, Singapore

Daniel Tan is Chief Executive of the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Singapore (GRA). He leads the 200-member statutory board responsible for regulating Singapore’s gambling industry, including casinos, Singapore Pools, and gaming machine rooms.

Daniel is seconded from the Singapore Police Force, where he holds the rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police. His senior appointments have included Director of the Planning and Organisation Department, Commander of Traffic Police, Commander of Central Police Division, Deputy Director of Operations and Deputy Commander of Security Command. He has also served on secondment as Deputy Commissioner (Policy and Transformation) of the Singapore Prison Service and Deputy Director (Risk Management) at the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Laws from the National University of Singapore and a Master in Public Administration from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.
